In line with the strategic commitment of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina to full EU membership and administrative capacity building, as well as the need to improve the utilisation of available EU funding opportunities, the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina signed the agreement on the establishment of the Antenna of Creative Europe Culture Desk Serbia with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Government of the Republic of Serbia on 14th November 2014.
The agreement is an institutional framework for the timely and comprehensive implementation of the EU programme called Creative Europe - Culture sub-programme via the Creative Europe Culture Desk Serbia, which is an integral part of the Ministry of Culture and Information, and the Antenna, which is an integral part of the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
The Creative Europe programme - Culture sub-programme helps the cultural and creative sector to operate competitively and transnationally, promotes the cross-border circulation of works of culture and the mobility of cultural players, and provides financial support to projects with a European dimension aiming to share cultural content across borders.
The establishment of the Antenna has created conditions for regular dissemination of information on the programme and calls, training of stakeholders, providing advice and technical support to potential applicants, as well as the entire promotion of the Creative Europe programme - Culture sub-programme in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
The Antenna of Creative Europe Culture Desk Serbia was officially opened on 1st January 2015. The headquarters are at the premises of the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. It is the first time that the office of a European programme has formed a part of a provincial institution.
The Antenna provides information about the Creative Europe programme and calls under it, as well as assistance in partner search, project development, filling-in of application forms and better project visibility to cultural institutions, civil society organizations and professionals in the field of culture.

Creative Europe Forum 2017, held from 19th to 21st April 2017, is an international conference of the Creative Europe Desk Serbia dedicated to promoting the Creative Europe programme and the topic of regional cooperation as a strategy of European cultural development. The Forum traditionally lasts for three days and is held at five different locations in Belgrade. The audience, which moved to a different location each hour, was composed of foreign partners and experts, regional Desk members, prominent experts in culture and other visitors. During the first day, the presentation involved the experience of other Desk colleagues from the neighbouring countries, along with examples of good practice in different segments, such as co-production, audience development, digitalization and mobility.
Creative Europe Forum is organised annually in April and is the largest international conference of the Creative Europe Desk Serbia dedicated to promoting the Creative Europe programme and the topic of regional cooperation as a strategy of European cultural development. The topic of the Forum will be covered on two levels: cooperation of the region and the territories in Europe on the macro and the micro level; cooperation and repositioning of countries of South Eastern Europe. Apart from the topic of European regional cooperation, participants of the Forum should recognise the strengths and peculiarities of the cultural and creative sector of the region, answer how can the region develop its cultural recognisability, whether it can use the good and bad experiences of other European regions such as the Scandinavian, Baltic or Central European one, what are the best opportunities for the development of South Eastern Europe and what is the place of the Creative Europe programme in this process.
The round table “Importance of concordance between the public and civil sector in streamlining the policies in the field of culture” was held at the Assembly of AP Vojvodina on 22 December 2016, within the framework of activities of the Antenna of Creative Europe Culture Desk Serbia planned for 2016.

This year's call for proposals for literary translation projects opened under the Creative Europe on 7th March 2016. The deadline for submission of application is 27th April 2016, and it is available to publishers with a proposal to translate a specific package of books to European languages.
The round table “Cooperation between the civil society and the public sector” has been held at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina, which has been organized by the Antenna of Creative Europe Desk Serbia, in cooperation with the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina. The Antenna of the Creative Europe Desk Serbia is organising a seminar “Creative Europe Programme – Cooperation Projects” on 16th and 17th September 2015. The venue will be published subsequently. The call is aimed at all institutions and organisations in Serbia that are planning to apply under Creative Europe. The participants in the seminar will deal with project ideas and concepts, administrative and financial aspects of the project and actively analyse and compare the participants’ project proposals.
A press conference has been held today at the Provincial Government to present the work of the Antenna of Desk Creative Europe, which has been supported by the European Commission.
