Training “Funding opportunities through EU funds” held at the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of the City of Novi Sad

The Fund for European Affairs and Development of the AP Vojvodina has implemented another three-day training dedicated to the formulation of project proposals. These trainings have been organized successfully for a long time with the aim of empowering participants to attract grants from European Union funds and programs. The focus of the training was on strategic positioning within the defined priorities, measures and financial frameworks. This time, the participants were members of the Syndicate, most of the participants had not had the opportunity to write projects before, while a smaller number of participants had contact with writing or implementing a project.
The Fund’s representatives, Jelena Radosavljević Rovčanin and Sanja Čuturilov Veselinović, introduced the potential sources of funding, especially the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), with an emphasis on cross-border cooperation programs, as well as other European Union programs for which they can apply. The practical part of the training included workshops that dealt with instruments and tools for the successful formulation of project proposals. On the last day, the training participants were introduced to project budgeting, which they practically mastered through a series of examples.
After completing the training, the participants acquired basic knowledge about European programs and projects, as well as the specific terminology used in these areas.
