A workshop – final knowledge exchange event held within the project Commheritour

On Monday, December 8th, a workshop – final knowledge exchange event within the project „Community-based models for the sustainable valorization of crafts in the field of cultural heritage to improve the economic and tourism performance of remote areas of the Danube Region – Commheritour“ where the Fund for European Affairs and Development is partner.

Yesterday’s workshop was focused on Local Action Plan (LAP), as one of the importan segmens of the project.

The main aim of LAP is establishing a strategic and operational framework for the preservation, transfer, greater visibility and sustainable development of craft heritage in Vojvodina. LAP uses regioanl aproach, since craft networks transcend the borders of municipalities and cities. The document links Joint Strategy of Danube region and Development Policies of both the Autonoous Province of Vojvodina nad the Republic of Serbia. Focus is on the valorisation of crafts as drivers of local development and integration of cultural heritage, education, tourism and digital transformation. LAP, as document, recognized 18 projects, from which 4 are priority projects and backbones of development: „Rose of Stapar“; „Vojvodina Craft Trace“ – thematic culture route; Festival „Crafts and Culture“ and „digital visibility and local branding“.

The topics  that were specifically specifically considered were “How does cultural heritage become a contemporary product”; “How are products being transformed into experiences” and finally, “How are experiences integrated into tourism offerings?”
