Tecnopolis Presents GREENSMES at the 10th EUSAIR Forum in Crete

On the occasion of the 10th EUSAIR Forum (6–7 May 2025), hosted by the Hellenic Presidency of the Adriatic-Ionian Strategy and organized in collaboration with the European Commission, Tecnopolis took part in the exclusive side event “Shaping the Future of the Adriatic-Ionian Region: Cooperation, Innovation and Sustainability Beyond 2027,” held on May 5 at the Pilot Beach Resort in Crete.
The meeting brought together high-level representatives, regional stakeholders, and projects funded by the Interreg IPA ADRION, Euro-MED, and Greece–Italy programs to reflect on achievements to date and to outline future pathways for sustainable development in the region.
Representing Tecnopolis was Chief Project Officer Davide De Nicolò, who presented the GREENSMES project – Green Transition for SMEs in the ADRION Region, for which Tecnopolis is the Lead Partner.
“GREENSMES is not a theoretical project, but a practical tool to concretely support SMEs in undertaking the green transition. We work to make good practices scalable and solutions transferable, strengthening transnational cooperation as a lever for sustainable development,” stated Davide De Nicolò on the sidelines of the event.
The presentation highlighted ongoing activities in the various partner countries – including training for SMEs and support organizations, vouchers for sustainability measures, and the collection and promotion of best practices – emphasizing the central role of cross-border cooperation in building a more innovative, resilient, and green Adriatic-Ionian region.
