Participation in the project meeting and study visit within the GREENSMEs project

As part of the GREENSMEs project, a project meeting and study visit was held in Thessaloniki from February 5 to 6, 2025. The meeting was hosted by the Business and Cultural Development Center (KEPA) from Greece.
The meeting was opened by the Head of the KEPA Project Department Davide de Nicolo.
During the first day, workshops were organized for learning and exchange of experiences on the topic of supporting innovation and the ecosystem of entrepreneurship, green transitions of small and medium enterprises in Macedonia (examples of good practice), biotechnology in agriculture in Greece, as well as recycling and waste management. During the second part of the day, there was a visit to the Department for Planning and Supervision of Development Programs of Municipality of Thessaloniki.

During the second day, the partners visited the Centre For Research and Technology Hellas, as well as the American Farm School Thessaloniki in Thessaloniki. After the visit, the partners worked on the elaboration of planned activities for the next period – improvement and strengthening of transnational knowledge and awareness, transnational green innovations and institutional strengthening and cooperation, as well as increasing the level of green innovations.

At the end of the day, the partners reached conclusions about the next steps in the work, as well as recommendations for the first reporting period in JEMS, and minor changes in activities and implementation time.

These meetings were more than just a routine visit; it was a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange aimed at strengthening cooperation between partners. Together, we explored innovative strategies that could drive the green transition and improve the sustainability of SMEs.
