Within the project Mos-Cross2, on 24 and 25 March 2022, the fourth two-day training for healthcare workers was held in Po\u017eega (Croatia). During the project, a total of 6 trainings will be held, where health workers will expand their knowledge about mosquitoes as vectors of infectious diseases.<\/p>\n

The training was attended by a total of 40 health workers from the Teaching Institute for Public Health of Osijek-Baranja County, the Institute for Public Health of Sombor, the Institute of Public Health of Po\u017eega-Slavonia County, the Institute of Public Health of Vojvodina, 10 from each institution, as well as members of the project teams.<\/p>\n

During the first day, participants learned more about larvicidal mosquito control methods, the role of the general population in mosquito control, invasive species control methods, and treatments. Lectures were held by prof. of biology and chemistry Magdalena Sikora, M.Sc. biol. Hrvoje Bekina, mag. biol. Ivan Kurtek, as well as mag. biol. Hrvoje Bekina. During the second day, there was talk about legal regulations in the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Serbia, as well as professional supervision of disinsection. Lectures were held by Mato Matijevi\u0107, Ph.D. Antun Jovanovic. prof. Ph.D. Sanja Bijelovi\u0107, as well as B.Sc. San. Ing. Dalibor Puhari\u0107.<\/p>\n

The Fund organized transportation and accommodation for health workers from Sombor and Novi Sad to Po\u017eega, as well as from Po\u017eega to Sombor, i.e. Novi Sad, and the Fund also ensured the presence of the media, i.e. media coverage of the fourth training for health workers.<\/p>\n
