A round table was held today in the Assembly of Autonomus Province of Vojvodina within the project \u201eYouth and Herritage – Tradition and Future in the Region of Cross-Border Cooperation”, organized by the European Affairs Fund of Autonomus Province of Vojvodina. The project worth 130,156.14 ERU is co-financed by the European Union within the Intereg-IPA cross-border cooperation program Hungary-Serbia.
\nOn behalf of the European Affairs Fund of Autonomus Province of Vojvodina, the participants of the Round Table were greeted by Ivana \u0110urica, Assistant Director, who pointed out that this project aimed to develop topics on risks to cultural heritage, to exchange theoretical and practical knowledge and opportunities to encourage society’s attitude towards heritage in order to take appropriate measures to preserve and put into service the economic and tourist potentials of local communities.
\nOn behalf of the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities – as the leading partner in the project – addressed Undersecretary Stanislav Radulovi\u0107 who pointed out that the model of cross-border cooperation through IPA projects of the European Union is a good and always welcome model, but until the moment of realization he represents only a tool and he added that it is a tool with the help of which people interact – people of different nationalities, cultures, languages, etc.
\nThe director of the Matica srpska Gallerry, Dr. Tijana Palkovljevi\u0107-Bugarski, the program director of the Matica srpska Gallery, Danilo Vuksanovi\u0107, and the director of the Museum of Vojvodina, Dr. Tijana Stankovi\u0107-Pe\u0161terac, spoke about the importance of protecting cultural heritage.
\nOn behalf of \u010congrad-\u010canad County, Adam Pap addressed the video link, emphasizing the importance of the digital age, preserving older buildings as a special cultural heritage of a community in the era of the general trend of new construction, heritage protection and educating young people, who need to know much more about it, in order to continue with its preservation.
\nThe round table was also attended by representatives of cultural institutions.<\/p>\n
