Vojvodina Strengthens International Presence at European Public Diplomacy Week<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brussels<\/strong> \u2013 The inaugural edition of European Public Diplomacy Week brought together a wide array of representatives from EU institutions, member states, candidate countries, and experts in diplomacy, communications, and international relations.<\/p>\n

As part of the program, a high-level conference titled Subnational Public Diplomacy: Cities and Regions for Global Impact highlighted the growing role of local and regional governments on the global stage. Among the active participants were representatives from the Office of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, operating within the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union. Their involvement not only facilitated valuable exchanges of experience but also underscored the significance of regional actors in advancing public diplomacy and contributing to international cooperation.<\/p>\n

The conference was opened by Kata T\u00fctt\u0151, President of the European Committee of the Regions, with additional remarks delivered by Dubravka \u0160uica, European Commissioner for the Mediterranean.
\nParticular attention was drawn to the activities of the Office of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina to the European Union. Thanks to its strategic efforts, Vojvodina has gained recognition across Europe as an economically attractive region\u2014especially in the fields of agriculture, information technology and renewable energy.<\/p>\n

With the support of its Brussels Office, Vojvodina has recently hosted numerous business delegations from across Europe, strengthening its economic ties and international cooperation. Additionally, through timely insights provided by the Office via its network of partner regional representations, several Vojvodina-based entities have successfully joined EU-funded collaborative projects, further integrating the region into key European development initiatives.<\/p>\n

The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina is set to reaffirm its growing role on the international stage this October, when it will participate as an official partner in the prestigious European Week of Regions and Cities. In collaboration with partners from Germany, the United Kingdom, Greece, Romania, Croatia, Lithuania, and the Republic of Srpska, Vojvodina will present its experiences and highlight examples of best practices. The event will offer a platform for Vojvodina to showcase its contributions to regional development and cross-border cooperation within the broader European context.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme, \u201cCities Building the Future\u201d, will provide an opportunity to showcase projects in the field of green-blue infrastructure (GBI), which Vojvodina is successfully implementing with the support of the European Union\u2019s pre-accession funds.
\nParticularly noteworthy is the newly established cooperation with the German Federal State of Hessen, which will, for the first time, be concretely reflected through joint activities during the European Week of Regions and Cities.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Office of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina to the European Union plans to introduce a new initiative \u2013 the celebration of Danube Day at the premises of the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union.
\nThe event will bring together regional representatives with shared interests in the Danube River Basin, with a special focus on the importance of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, adopted by the European Council back in 2011.<\/p>\n
