The music sector in Serbia will soon have the opportunity to benefit from new European support for more sustainable practices in music. That is why it is important that the experiences, needs and challenges of our scene are heard now, through European research conducted by the GreenBeat Nexus initiative.<\/p>\n
The GreenBeat Nexus initiative, supported by Music Moves Europe under the Creative Europe programme, aims to develop more sustainable practices in the European music ecosystem. The initiative plans research, training programmes and financial support, as well as the distribution of 3.6 million euros for at least 60 projects by 2029. The first open call for projects is expected in the second half of 2026.<\/p>\n
That is why it is important that music professionals, organizations, festivals, concert venues, networks, educational institutions, local initiatives, educators and educators from Serbia participate in the research and share their experiences.<\/p>\n
The research addresses the needs, challenges, existing practices and ideas of the music sector in the field of green transition. The results will be used to develop practical tools, training programs and future financial support opportunities. The better the needs of the sector are visible, the greater the chance that future support programs will be aligned with the real conditions in which music scene actors in Serbia and the region work.<\/p>\n
If we want future European support measures to recognize our context, it is important to get involved in time. Participating in the survey is not just filling out another questionnaire, but an opportunity to take the needs of the local scene into account in the process of preparing future tools, training and grants.<\/p>\n
