Project description<\/b><\/td>\nOverall objective:<\/strong>
\nTo contribute to the improvement of the general health of elderly citizens by increasing accessibility to basic health-preventive services in rural areas of the cross-border region between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina<\/p>\n

Specific objectives:<\/strong>
\nTo upgrade existing health-preventive services for elderly citizens by improving their efficiency and comprehensiveness according to present needs in Srem District and 5 cantons in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Tuzla Canton, Posavina Canton, Central Bosnia Canton, Canton Sarajevo, and Zenica-Doboj Canton).<\/p>\n

Expected results:<\/strong>
\n1.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0New standardized health-preventive services for elderly citizens in rural areas created
\n2.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Local mobile teams for the provision of health-preventive services activated
\n3.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Public health education campaign conducted<\/p>\n

Main activities:<\/strong>
\n(1)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Standardization of health-preventive services to be provided by local mobile teams of the Red Cross in rural areas
\n(2)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Preparation of a training curricula for local mobile team members for working in the field
\n(3)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Training of local mobile team members for fieldwork
\n(4)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Creation of local mobile teams for fieldwork in rural areas
\n(5)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Provision of equipment for local mobile teams for fieldwork
\n(6)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Organization of info days with preventive examinations for elderly citizens in rural areas
\n(7)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Organization of health-prevention days
\n(8)\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Preparation of promotional material

Target groups:<\/strong>
\nMembers of local mobile teams of the Red Cross from 12 municipalities in the cross-border region, elderly citizens and their families, the population in 12 municipalities in Srem District and cantons in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a focus on the elderly and their family members, members of the professional community who work with the elderly (social workers, medical workers, etc.)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
