During the project, the Public Health Institute Sombor and Institute of Public Health for the Osijek-Baranya County will procure a supervision system and laboratory equipment, and through the training sessions, the health workers will be trained to control mosquitoes and sample methods for the detection of mosquito-borne diseases.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A total of 20 health workers from the Public Health Institute Sombor and Institute of Public Health for the Osijek-Baranya County, 10 per institution, attended the training session, along with the project team members. On the first day, the participants learned more about the mosquito species, their biological control and mosquitoes living in the region. On the second day, mosquito collection and the monitoring of larvae and adult mosquitoes were elaborated, and the process of folding and placing traps was demonstrated.
