Project description<\/b><\/td>\nMain objective:<\/b><\/p>\n

To prevent the negative effects on the quality of water bodies by establishing a joint system of improvement of water management in AP Vojvodina and Csongr\u00e1d County.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Specific objectives: <\/b><\/p>\n

(1) To improve the water balance of the Jegri\u010dka River (44+015 km-46+673 km\/29+588 km-37+892 km), and Kurca main channel (4+487 km-9+997 km) in the CBC region by sludge dredging, building works and overgrown vegetation removal from the riverbed;<\/p>\n

(2) To develop a joint monitoring and analysis system to preserve the water<\/p>\n

quality and biodiversity in CBC region;<\/p>\n

(3) To define long-term solutions to prevent the quality degradation of water bodies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Expected results: <\/b><\/p>\n

1. Excess water prevention achieved by revitalization of the Jegri\u010dka River and Kurca main channel;<\/p>\n

2. Hydro-biological analyses and monitoring of water quality and sludge of the Jegri\u010dka River and Kurca main channel in the selected locations before and after the dredging in compliance with Article 8 of the Water Framework Directive\u00a0conducted;<\/p>\n

3. Experience between Serbian and Hungarian partners exchanged in the field of sustainable water management and\u00a0nature\u00a0protection;<\/p>\n

4. Adequate \u201eRiverside path\u201d constructed at the Jegri\u010dka Nature\u00a0Park;<\/p>\n

5. Study of Jegri\u010dka Nature Park against the impact of underground and surface water produced;<\/p>\n

6. Joint database as a basis for experience exchange and future cooperation created.<\/p>\n

Main activities:<\/b><\/p>\n

(1) \u00a0Dredging of the Jegri\u010dka River and of the Kurca main channel;<\/p>\n

(2) Reconstruction of one water retention facility (\u201eBikaist\u00e1ll\u00f3-gate\u201d);<\/p>\n

(3) Works on the inspection and walking path on the Jegri\u010dka riverbank;<\/p>\n

(4) Drafting and publishing of monograph;<\/p>\n

(5) Development of study: general project with previous feasibility study;<\/p>\n

(6) Construction of a monitoring station at 27+827 km cross-section;<\/p>\n

(7)\u00a0 Hydro-biological analysis and monitoring of water and sludge quality;<\/p>\n

(8) Monitoring analysis and study of the Kurca habitat;<\/p>\n

(9) Organisation of educational activities and roundtables;<\/p>\n

(10) Development of project website with database;<\/p>\n

(11) PR campaign;<\/p>\n

(12) Project management. \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
