Project description<\/b><\/td>\n\n

Overall objective:<\/strong>
\nEnhancement of regional level cooperation through joint systems and approaches in response to flooding in the Sava river basin in the cross-border region (CBR) and improvement of preparedness level in flood related emergencies in CBR with a special focus on affected municipalities in VSC and Srem District affected during previous floods<\/p>\n

Specific objectives: <\/strong>
\n(1) To improve skills and procedures of protection and rescue operational forces (PR OF) and harmonize actions of emergency and crisis management bodies in the CBR during and after floods;
\n(2) To raise the awareness of local population about actions and responses in cases of flooding within the CBR.<\/p>\n

Expected results: <\/strong>
\n(1) Improved actions of managerial bodies responsible for protection and rescue on both sides of the CBR
\n(2) \u00a0Raised capacities and improved resources of units for civil protection and rescue for responding in flood related crisis situations
\n(3) Ensured action of promotion and education of local population via conducted promotional activities
\n(4) \u00a0Established effective joint action team<\/p>\n

\nHeadquarters for Protection and Rescue in VSC, Provincial Emergency Management Headquarters in AP Vojvodina, Srem District Emergency Management Headquarters, protection and rescue teams at regional and local levels in both cross-border areas<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
