On this occasion, state and European legal acts related to the issue were presented, whereas special emphasis was placed on the real challenges with which persons with disabilities are faced in everyday life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe concept of support to persons with disabilities is based on the principles of an open and democratic society. Our concept has to be \u2018from patient to citizen\u2019, so that persons with disabilities could be active members of society like other citizens. An adequate set of laws has already been adopted, while significant improvement and new regulations are to be expected next year.
