Creative Europe – Vojvodina 2025: Three-Day Training Brings Together Cultural Professionals from Across Serbia

Subotica, 21 October 2025 — A three-day training for the development of project ideas within the EU programme Creative Europe – Vojvodina 2025 kicked off at the Hotel “Artist” in Subotica. The event runs from 20 to 22 October and gathers cultural professionals, institutions, and organisations eager to strengthen their project skills and international cooperation.
Designed for those planning to apply for Creative Europe funding, as well as for participants wishing to enhance their knowledge in project design and management, the training places special emphasis on newcomers — individuals and organisations with creative ideas aligned with European cultural priorities.
Participants are gaining practical skills in defining project goals, preparing documentation, budgeting, and resource management. The programme also encourages networking and knowledge exchange through interactive workshops, discussions, and peer collaboration.
At the opening session, Jovana Rapajić, organiser and project manager of the Creative Desk Serbia Antenna, welcomed the participants and underlined the importance of such initiatives for the development of the cultural sector in both Vojvodina and Serbia.
During the first day, participants explored the structure and mechanisms of the Creative Europe programme and learned key steps for developing strong project proposals. Through interactive exercises, trainers Milan Đorđević and Nina Mihaljinac guided attendees in shaping their ideas and identifying funding opportunities within the programme framework.
On the second day, supported by Ana Ćosić from MEDIA Desk Serbia, participants worked in groups to design project budgets. The programme also featured a presentation by a guest from the Subotica-based association Klara and Rosa, who showcased their successful Creative Europe project Unfold as an inspiring example of good practice.
The final day will focus on the technical aspects of applying to the programme and on planning the further development of project concepts.
The training brings together representatives from across the cultural and creative sectors — from Kula, Kikinda, Titel, Pančevo, Subotica, and Novi Sad, as well as from other Serbian cities such as Niš, Kostolac, Požarevac, and Belgrade. Among the participants are representatives of associations, libraries, national theatres, cultural center, development agencies, faculties, and foundations.
While some participants already have experience with EU funded projects, others are engaging in this process for the first time, making the training a valuable space for knowledge exchange and capacity building in the field of culture and creative industries.
The programme is organised by the Creative Desk Serbia Antenna (Fund for European Affairs and Development of AP Vojvodina), in cooperation with Creative Desk Serbia (Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia) and MEDIA Desk Serbia.
