Creative Europe Desks Meet in Copenhagen
During its six-month Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Kingdom of Denmark organised a number of international events. Among them was the meeting of the Creative Europe Desks, attended by representatives of the Antenna Office together with colleagues from across Europe.
The session titled “Cultural Resilience and the Future of Cultural Policies” explored the role of culture in international relations and in strengthening democratic societies, prompting an important discussion on the influence of artificial intelligence.
The second session focused on peer learning and a catalogue of best practices, highlighting ways to improve communication and advisory support. This segment of the programme took place within the broader VEGA Conference. Throughout the conference, three key themes stood out:
- Presence and deep attention are becoming vital cultural resources in an era of acceleration and digital fragmentation.
- Art provides an infrastructure of opportunities across Europe, fostering empathy, connection, and democratic resilience.
- Creativity is strengthened through sharing, underscoring that cultural futures are shaped collectively — through dialogue and cooperation.
The discussions launched at the VEGA Conference contribute to a wider European dialogue on how culture can help us better understand one another, navigate complexity, and envision new futures.
