Working visit to Bela Crkva Municipality

In order to provide support for the local self-government, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Milan Milan Čežek, Jelena Tošković, Mina Radmilović Pjevac and Branislav Srdić have visited Bela Crkva Municipality and met with the president of the municipality, Darko Bogosavljević and his associates.

Bela Crkva is among the rare municipalities which are, although underdeveloped, very active in applying for EU funds, with successful and approved projects. There are two ongoing projects within the framework of Cross-border Cooperation Programme with Romania: construction of a market (total value EUR 966,920) and reconstruction of the cultural centre in Kusić (value EUR 187,788). Looking to the future, the conclusion is that it is necessary to work in the field of ecology and tourism, especially purification of the watercourses of the seven lakes and their banks. In addition, Bela Crkva has received from the Serbian Army 8.5 hectares of land in an attractive location right next to the main lake and that area should be arranged by means of EU projects.
