College of Europe from Bruges interested in enhancing the Specialised Programme “Management of Regional Development through EU Funds”

A meeting with the representatives of the Development Office of College of Europe from Bruges was held at the Vojvodina European Office in Brussels on 7 April 2017.  The topic of the meeting was enhancement of the Specialized Programme “Management of Regional Development through EU Funds”, which is carried out by the European Affairs Fund of AP Vоjvodina, whereas the whole Programme is financed from the budget of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

The College of Europe is the oldest and the most prestigious institution of postgraduate studies in the field of European studies, initiated by the founders of the European Union, as the fulfillment of the conclusions of the 1949 Hague Congress. The quality of education offered by this academic institution has been recognized in the whole world, which has been proven mostly by the fact that, in order to timely educate their future administration, the governments of the member states in the majority of EU countries select the students.

The potential cooperation with the College proves best the efforts of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina to build the administrative capacities of provincial institutions and local self-governments in the most adequate manner, and to raise the academic reference rate of the Specialised Programme to the highest level.

Srđan Mačkić, Head of the Vojvodina European Office in Brussels emphasized that the discussion with the representatives of this institution touched upon the participation of prominent lecturers from the College of Europe in the Specialised Programme, and that  specific proposals from Bruges are expected in the coming days to improve the Programme quality, and thus the capacities of the administration within the framework of European affairs.

The third Specialised Programme “Management of Regional Development through EU Funds” is expected to start in May 2017.
