At the invitation of the Citizens’ Association “AktiNS“ of Novi Sad, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina have held a two-day training course under the title “Prospects of Financing through EU Funds” in order to present to the association members the topic of project funding by receiving EU funds available to the Republic of Serbia. During the training, the participants could obtain information about the novelties introduced by the EU budget period that started on 1st January 2014 and that would last until the end of 2020. The presentation also involved the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance 2014-2020 – IPA 2, with special focus on cross-border cooperation programmes, as well as the Community Programmes, such as “Creative Europe” and “Europe for Citizens”, which were expected to be available to institutions from the Republic of Serbia.
Moreover, the participants underwent basic training in project cycle management and were informed about the necessary steps and elements of EU project development, such as the problem tree and objective tree, stakeholder and strategy analysis and logical framework. Likewise, the necessary steps and procedures related to project proposal budgeting and required by the EU were explained by giving practical examples, whereas the last part of the course was aimed at clarifying the evaluation of projects and filling-in of application forms.
