On the prospects of financing through EU funds at the training at the Centre for Tourism Research and Studies
At the invitation of the Centre for Tourism Research and Studies (CTRS) in Novi Sad, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina have held the first part of the training session, which will last for several days, for the employees of the institution. The training under the title “Prospects of Financing through EU Funds” involved a series of presentations and workshops and the participants could gain basic knowledge necessary for successful application for EU funds available to institutions of Serbia. Within interactive workshops, the employees started developing potential project proposals during the training session. After completing the training, the participants should be capable of developing projects on their own and positioning them strategically within the predefined priorities and available funds.
The first part of the training session was held 10-11 July 2012 when the Fund’s representatives informed the participants about the modes of management, basic characteristics and concepts of cross-border cooperation programme and methodology of project cycle management. The topics that were covered during the practical part of the course involved problem approach by means of objective tree and problem tree, as well as the logical framework. The second part of the training session will be held on 23-24 July 2012 when the participants will be trained to develop the budget of EU project on their own and recognise the system of project proposal evaluation. They will also be informed about the procedures and documentation necessary for successful application for and provision of EU funds. The ultimate goal of the training is to induce the participants, who have underwent the training, to take a more active role in enhancing their communities by utilising the available sources of EU funding.
