EU Sustainable Energy Week held in Brussels

The EU Sustainable Energy Week was held in Brussels from 19th to 25th June 2017, organized by the European Commission. The main topic of 2017 conference of experts and decision makers in that area was clean energy for all Europeans. Clean energy is here understood as the energy obtained mainly from renewable sources.

In the context of the Western Balkans, most attention was paid to the energy efficiency of public and private facilities. In this regard, at a special conference, the development potential in that area, models of financing through private-public partnerships, as well as credit facilities offered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in that area were presented.

The representatives of the Vojvodina European Office in Brussels participated in the conference and had discussions on the side with the representatives of the European Commission, the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and others in order to further improve the conditions for achieving energy efficiency in AP Vojvodina.
