A new program Creative Europe 2021-2027 has started!
Dear colleagues, associates and friends,
Yesterday, the new Creative Europe program officially started. It will be realized with a budget of 2.4 billion euros in the period 2021-2027 – a budget that is 63% higher than the previous one.
In addition to the already known program structure, which includes a program to support the translation of literary works and the establishment of partnerships in the field of publishing, as well as programs to support cooperation in various fields of art and culture – including audiovisual activities, as well as European Capital of Culture will bring significant innovations.
Due to growing threats to media pluralism, Creative Europe will, for the first time, promote a healthy and sustainable news media sector across Europe. Also, significant innovations include a focus on environmentally sustainable and responsible practices in culture and the arts, support for forums for policy discussion and exchange of studies and reports, and support for creative innovation laboratories, which encourage innovative approaches to creating, distributing and promoting content in various fields. .
The program will remain a place for determining the common goals of all participating countries, and in the formal sense, they are, for now, all member states of the European Union. We expect an official invitation from the European Commission to join the new program soon, which will enable the official participation of our country by the end of the current year.
The important information is that the first competition invitations will be announced in the coming days, and that all institutions and organizations from Serbia will have the right to apply regardless of the administrative process of joining the new program.
We invite you to look at more information about the structure, call plan and priorities of calls for proposals in the annual program implementation plan.
Sincerely,
Team Desk Creative Europe Serbia
