Opening Conference of the project Be – Healthy

On Friday, May 15, 2026, the Opening Conference of the Be-Healthy project was organized. Project is aimed at the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes type 2, as well as improving the health of the general population in the cross-border rural areas of Croatia and Serbia. The conference, held in Osijek, was organized by the Lead partner, Teaching Institute of Public Health of the Osijek-Baranja County, and project partners: the Institute of Public Health of the West Bačka District from Sombor, the Institute of Public Health of Vojvodina from Novi Sad and the Fund for European Affairs and Development of the AP of Vojvodina.
Project activities, goals and expected results, as well as the activities of partner institutions were presented at the conference where the representatives of project partners, healthcare institutions and local governments took part.
The project is worth €806,638.40 and is co-financed through the Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia-Serbia programme.
The project delivers:
- mobile clinics for better accessibility of preventive examinations
- e-application for communication between patients and healthcare professionals
- nutrigenetic analyses
- nutritional counselling
Through the joint work of the project partners, the aim is to improve access to preventive healthcare services, encourage healthier lifestyle habits and contribute to early detection of risks for chronic non-infectuous diseases.
