The Closing conference of the OASIS project
The closing conference, held in the Spa of Kanjiza, marked the end of the two-year project ” Kistelek – Magyarkanizsa complementary touristic development based on natural resources as interconnected diverse elements of the regional touristic system – OASIS”.
The conference was opened by the President of the Kanjiza Municipality Róbert Fejsztámer. The participants were addressed by the Assistant Director of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina Ivana Djurica, Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities – National Communities Mihály Nyilas and Deputy Mayor of Kistelek János Domonics.
The project includes four main project aspects each of which consists of a number of activities contributing to meeting the main project objective – developing tourism on the territory of Kanjiza (Serbia) and Kistelek (Hungary).
The project includes the construction of counselling center in Kistelek Municipality which will contribute to promote health and a healthy lifestyle. A mobile application of the site has been developed, combining individual offers of regional health tourism.
In the Municipality of Kanjiza, the existing sports facilities were revitalized and multifunctional sports field was built.
The youth summer camp was organized in Kanjiza, which aimed to promote interethnic tolerance among young people on the one hand, and to contribute to the development of youth tourism and raising awareness about a healthy lifestyle through specific recreational, competitive and educational activities, on the other.
The European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina contributed to the successful implementation of the project, providing technical support and assistance during the project. The European Affairs Fund was responsible for visibility activities, informing, organizing conferences, collecting documentation for the implementation of public procurement procedures, etc.
In addition to the above, the European Affairs Fund was included in the camp program, creating and organizing lectures and interactive quizzes for participants.
Exceptional cooperation of the project partners contributed to the successful realization of the project, namely: the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities – National Communities, the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, the Municipality of Kanjiza from Serbia and the Municipality of Kistelek from Hungary.
The total value of the project was 588,017.84 euros, of which 85% is co-financed by the European Union.
