The second international meeting within the POWER project

Last week, in Durres, Albania, a meeting was held on the EU project POWER, in which the Fund’s project team members are Tijana Krstić Maravić, Jano Puškar and Nemanja Davidović. The European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina is one of the partners in the “Ports as driving Wheels of Entrepreneurial Realm – POWER” project, which is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg ADRION Programme. The project started being implemented on 1 January 2018, and will last until 31 December 2019. Its objective is to analyze the energy requirements and needs of ports in the region covered by the ADRION Programme and to enhance their innovative development.
In addition to the Fund, the project partners are: National Research Council Construction Technologies Institute of Milan – Italy, CNA Ravenna of Ravenna – Italy, Rijeka Development Agency Porin of Rijeka – Croatia, Center for Technology and Economic and Environmental Development Sarajevo – B&H, City of Durrës – Albania, Cooperation and Development Institute of Tirana – Albania, Centre for Research and Technology Hellas of Thessaloniki – Greece, Chamber of Thesprotia of Igoumenitsa – Greece.
During the project implementation, the outputs to be produced are the methodology for facilitating the collaboration between enterprises and research institutions and, in so doing, speeding up the building of ISCs; the Innovation Hubs Network (IHN); the IHN joint Strategy for the evolution of ports into innovation hubs, supported by an ICT Platform devoted to its implementation. The first project meeting was held in Ravenna, Italy, in February 2018, while the second international meeting was held in Durres, Albania, 20-21 June 2018. The meeting in Durres gathered all the project team members in order to present the analyses obtained from the ports that aim at improving their systems of RES utilization within the framework of the POWER project, which is at the same time a pilot project. Moreover, one of the topics of the meeting was to present the main project activities and work packages related to project visibility. One of the role of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina within the POWER project is to ensure the visibility of the project by establishing a communication document (Communication Plan), as well as to ensure the project visual identity for all project partners. The Fund’s colleagues, Jano Puškar and Nemanja Davidović held presentations: Jano went with the project partners through the basic chapters of the document on project visibility and presented the model of the project visual identity, while Nemanja outlined the development plan of ports from Serbia with the aim of developing our ports into research centers and centers for the creation of ideas and solutions for better energy connectivity in the future.
At the meeting in Durres, the other project partners presented their future activities. The next international meeting is planned to take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina in December this year.
