Novi Kneževac and Senta want more European projects

The representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina Milan Čežek and Senka Bengin, together with the representatives of the Vojvodina Development Agency, Nataša Rončević and Tijana Marković have visited the municipality of Novi Kneževac and Senta today.

In Novi Kneževac Municipality, they had a meeting with Csilla Orosz Urbán, assistant president of the municipality, and her associates, whereas in Senta Municipality, with Dragana Radonjić MSc, head of the Department for Economy and Local and Economic Development, and her associates.

During the meetings, a more comprehensive direct cooperation between the representatives of local self-government and the Fund was agreed regarding EU funding opportunities by providing assistance in the selection and development of EU projects, as well as future training courses in the municipality of Senta by the Fund’s employees aimed at all those interested from the municipality.

The representatives of Novi Kneževac Municipality have planned to develop the tourism potential of the municipality, whereas the representatives of Senta Municipality presented the problems they faced – the need to reconstruct the sewage network, which could be solved by implementing EU projects and with the help of European Affairs Fund AP Vojvodina.

Both municipalities are active in project writing and implementation.

During the meetings, the discussion also touched upon the prospects for cooperation between the representatives of the local self-government and the Vojvodina Development Agency through the use of subsidies, as well as through the drafting of development of documents that directly concerning the public local self-government.
