Training course ‘EU Funding Opportunities’

Representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, held a three-day training course from 1 to 3 July in the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of the City of Novi Sad. This is the third training in a row, which has been organized on request of the Confederation, since the beginning of this year. The employees of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, City Administration for Economy, Fruska Gora National Park and the City of Novi Sad attended the training.
The participants were introduced to EU programmes and the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, with focus on the INTERREG IPA Programmes of Cross-border Cooperation. They had chance to learn which institutions have the opportunity to withdraw grants from EU funds through cooperation with partner institutions from the region, as well as joint writing of project proposals.

The aim of the training was to write a project proposal using a logical framework approach and a logical matrix – first through theory and then through hands-on experience – within which general and specific goals, activities and results were defined, as well as indicators, sources of verification and project risks. On the last day, the participants got acquainted with the budgeting of the project, which they practically mastered through a number of examples.
At the end of the training, 3 excellent project idea proposals were developed with which to apply to some of the available INTERREG IPA Cross-border Cooperation programmes. Upon completion of the training, participants were awarded certificates.
