The Office for European Affairs held the conference on Cross-border Cooperation (CBC) Programme Serbia – Croatia and Serbia – Bosnia and Herzegovina

The conference on Cross-border Cooperation (CBC) Programmes, now open for the region of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, was held in organisation of the Office for European Affairs. Institutions from Bačka District can compete for means from EU through the projects of cooperation with Croatia. Moreover, Bačka and Srem District could also participate in CBC Programme with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

– In the context of recently finished CBC Programme with Romania, in which people from Banat competed, we have written over 90 projects, which presents the confirmation of the work and improvement of the resources of local self-governments. Inside our «Tours of the Office for European Affairs », we visit Vojvodina and the rest of Serbia, and I am glad to say that we will continue with the similar activities, since they are producing good results. CBC Programmes Serbia-Croatia and Serbia-Bosnia and Herzegovina are now open and we will try to help the institutions from Bačka and Srem in achieving good results. In the context of the two mentioned CBC Programmes, disposed means will be over € 6,4 million, whilst we expect launching of the new CBC Programme Serbia – Hungary soon, whose total worth is around € 20 million, stated Predrag Novikov, director of the Office for European Affairs.

Representatives of the Public and Public and Comunal Sector of Vojvodina and employees from Provintial Secretariats have this time shown the greatest interest in project writing. Igor Bajić and Andrija Aleksić, from the Department for CBC Programmes of the Office for European Affairs have given answers on the details of the programme.
