Marking the European Day of Languages

On the occasion of the European Day of Languages, there were short interactive workshops under translation, linguistic and literary topics, as well as the presentation of the film “I Married a Serb” held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad on 26th September. The event was supported by the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina. The participants in the workshop were students of the Faculty of Philosophy, secondary school students, as well as citizens who were interested in expanding their knowledge.

The marking of 26th Septembre has been based on the initiative of the Council of Europe since 2001. The main objectives of the European Day of Languages are to highlight the importance of language learning, increase the number of languages learned and promote lifelong learning, intercultural dialogue, as well as the linguistic and cultural wealth of Europe.
