| Description of the project | The main objective of the project is enhancement of public policies aimed at strenghtening the industrial tourism within the partner territories, mainly as a tool of promoting innovaiton, sustainability and diversification of tourist services and destinations.
Specific objectives include:
1. An assessment of the state of industrial tourism in every partner territory through the “state analysis”, by mapping the current state and the available approaches and activities to support its development. 2. Usage of the current state analysis in order to support indentification of good practice examples (ready-to-use tools and proven methods, etc.) which can serve as a relevant source of inspiration for partners to improve their policy instruments.
Achieving the planned policy changes in each partner territory
Target groups:
Each category requires different key messages which are explained in detail in the communication strategy.
Expected results:
Through a three-year period of interregional learning, partners and asociated political authorities will be able to: understand the current situation in each territory and indentify inspiring good practices:
1. develop and implement improved policies; 2. create supportive regional eco-systems which engage key stakeholders; 3. strengthen their capacities for better appropriation and integration of industrial tourism in public policies. Implementation of new projects, management changes and global revisions are expected as concrete improvements in relevant policy instruments, ranging from tourism plans to ERDF financed programs.
IndusTour is an european project that brings together six partners from France, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia, and Cyprus. Over the course of four years, its goal is to make industrial tourism more attractive, innovative, and competitive. Through the exchange of knowledge and best practices, the project strengthens the resilience and diversity of tourism services and integrates industrial tourism into regional strategies. Support from associated institutions in Serbia and Cyprus ensures alignment with public policies and long-term results.
Main activities:
Are those related to the process of exchanging experience at the regional and interregional level. Industrial touorism represents a highly perspective area for development. The concept includes a year-round visits to operative enterprises and decommissioned or future industrial locations where visitors will have the opportunity to learn about past, current and future economic activities.
In this context, six regional and local authorities from Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, France, Poland and the Republic of Serbia as a candidate country will join their forces and share their experience in order to develop IndusTour project.
Project will provide the insight into the state of the industrial tourism in each partner territory through “state analysis”, by mapping the current state and the existing approaches and activities to support its development.
