WELCOME TRAINEES

On the basis of the University Internship Programme at the Assembly, Executive Council and provincial administration bodies in the 2008/09 school year, six students and postgraduates have come to the Office for European Affairs to do an internship. The Office for European Affairs has been participating in this useful programme for the third year now, and each year, more and more students apply to do an internship at our office, of which we are very proud. This year, the trainees at the Office for European Affairs are the following: Jovana Milanko, Isidora Stakić, Danilo Teodinov, Marina Grnja, Mirjana Kozlovački and Tijana Levakov. The students told us about the reasons why they had applied for internship at the Office for European Affairs and what they expected from it:

JOVANA MILANKO, Faculty of Economics: I am dealing with the economic aspect of European integration, and I am not interested in the political one. I want to contribute to Serbia’s economic integration to the EU.
kep ISIDORA STAKIĆ, Association of Centres for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies and Research (ACIMSI), European studies: I have been very interested in the subject of EU integration, even during my bachelor’s degree studies, therefore, I have continued my education at postgraduate level. I believe that regional policy and cooperation is becoming more and more important in the EU, and that the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina can make a great contribution to it.
kep DANILO TEODINOV, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Rural Development, Rural Policy of the EU: I think that I am a European and I want to contribute to our inclusion into the European family. The Office for European Affairs is the right place where my knowledge can help to make my dreams come true.
kep MARINA GRNJA, Faculty of Philosophy, Journalism: I have wanted to do my internship at the Office for European Affairs from the very beginning, because I have always wanted to deal with EU related topics. I do not wish to do it as a politician, I want educate myself, and later other people, about the topics of European importance. I think that some people are against European integration only because of lack of information, it is not their attitude.
kep MIRJANA KOZLOVAČKI, ACIMSI, European studies: I want to learn about public administration from within and to decide whether I want to work there one day.
kep TIJANA LEVAKOV, Faculty of Law: I want to gain some work experience at the Office for European Affairs, because in my view, the process of EU integration is very important for Serbia. I want to contribute to that process.
