The European Commission has launched the PROSPECT online platform for project proposal submission

PROSPECT is a new online system developed by the European Commission for the management of applications in international cooperation and development. PROSPECT will simplify the submission of applications under calls for proposals under direct management (when the calls for proposals are managed by EU Delegations). The aim of PROSPECT is to increase the efficiency of the management of the calls for proposals and to offer a better service to applicants through a new panel of functionalities such as the on-line submission and the possibility to follow up online the status of applications.

Before starting the application in PROSPECT, it is necessary to register the organisation in PADOR, where it is necessary to provide information about the organisation in order to receive a unique identifying number (EuropeAid ID). This number is needed when filling in the application in PROSPECT.

PADOR is an online database registering organisations as potential applicants under the calls for proposals. The organisations are encouraged to update regularly their data, and the European Commission uses the data to assess their operational and financial capacities, as well as their eligibility for applying under the calls for proposals. PADOR eases the application process for organisations, since they are not obliged to re-submit the information separately each time they participate in a call. The organisations simply indicate their unique identification number, called EuropeAid ID (PADOR number), in their application forms.
