European Week of Regions and Cities 2018
The kick-off meeting of EWRC 2018 was held in Brussels on 25th January 2018, which was to be held for the 16th time in the ”capital of the EU” from 8th to 11th October 2018.
The focus of this year’s event will be the future of cohesion policy post-2020, because, among other things, the cohesion policy will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. In addition, the event will cover other priority topics of importance for the development of Europe, especially within regional partnerships.
The Vojvodina European Office in Brussels is working intensively on the formation of this year’s regional partnership within the event, modelled on the past experience. AP Vojvodina will take advantage of this largest regional event gathering over 7,000 participants in order to promote itself. The coming years are very important in terms of the debate about the future of cohesion policy and new development funds, but also in terms of Novi Sad, which will be a host to a number of European guests in 2019 and 2021. In addition to all the topics, Vojvodina should offer its positive examples and development achievements to the Brussels audience.
One of the novelties this year is that all events organized by the EU will be held under “one roof” and the regions will have the opportunity to present their gastronomic offer, where there is room for Vojvodina to present its assets.
