Office for European Affairs became a member of two organizations in Brussels and Paris
Novi Sad, 12 March – In compliance with the Decision of the Executive Council to work on the coordination of activities of Province institutions in EU integration processes, and to cooperate with international and European bodies and institutions, the Office for European Affairs became a member of two significant European institutions: European Policy Centre (EPC), Brussels, and the French Institute of International Relations (Institut français des relations internationales – IFRI), Paris.
Both international organizations aim to work on further European integration, gather major European and world companies and strengthen cooperation at the level of regional and local stakeholders. “The Province of Vojvodina, like other institutions in the country, has to be present at places where opinions are formed and decisions on strategic directions in the decades to come are made. We wish to strengthen our position by means of active positioning and to avoid possible obstacles at an early stage. It is of special importance to stimulate larger investment in our country and present our administration as a reliable and predictable partner, through the membership in this and other institutions”, said Predrag Novikov, Director of the Office for European Affairs.
