In the context of the support for local self-governments, as in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina so in the rest of the country, representatives of the Office for European Affairs payed a visit to the cities of Kraljevo, Vrnjačka Banja and Trstenik, where the trainings in the field of use of EU Pre Accessing Funds will be realized. The special emphasis are put on the chances that will open with participation in the regional projects.

– Serbia’s strategic priority is to use the chances that are being offered to us more efficiently in the context of European way of Republic Serbia, thus Vojvodina as the leader of the mentioned process in the country wants to help the colleagues from other districts. We have succeededin applying with 90 projects at the recently closed call with Romania, which presents a great success for institutionss from Banat District. I expect similar success from institutions from Bačka and Srem Districts at now open calls with Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Office for European Affairs will on its behalf, insist on promotional activities across the country, as with organising the “Open Doors” in Novi Sad, so with visit to municipalities, in order to make this process more efficient. Under the circumstances of reduced transfer to municipalities, I believe that it is especially important for municipalities to make their local self-governments and fully use help that EU has given them for development. In the context of the Cross-border cooperation EU has provided this year, almost 40 million €, said Predrag Novikov director of the Office for European Affairs. Representatives from Kraljevo expressed their gratitude on provided support and wish to strengthen the cooperation with the Office for European Affairs.
