“A STEP FORWARD” of the Office for European Affairs
Tomorrow’s seminar on the process of Serbia’s accession of the EU, which will be held at the Municipal Assembly of Sombor, will mark the beginning of a series of lectures named “A Step Forward” of the Office for European Affairs. The idea is to present the topic to the most important centres of Vojvodina.
The purpose of the seminar is to provide information on integration processes in Europe, the institutional structure of the EU and EU legislation, Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), as a specific instrument for establishing privileged relations between the EU and third countries, and negotiations between Serbia and the EU on the conclusion of the SAA.
It is aimed at employees of local self-governments, districts, chambers of commerce, administration, justice and other relevant institutions and interested citizens. As for the its structure, it will consist of three parts: European integration processes, basic information on the EU (history, structure, institutions and conditions for membership in the European Union) and the SAA and negotiations between Serbia and the EU on the conclusion of the SAA. The lecturers are Prof. Dejan Janča, PhD, Mirna Rakić and Milana Kozomara.
Tomorrow’s lecture starts at 11 am at the great hall of the Municipal Assembly of Sombor, County building, Trg cara Uroša 1.
