Educational institutions of Kikinda Municipality attending a training course on EU CBC project development

In cooperation with the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities – National Communities, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina have held the third session in a series of training courses ‘’EU Funds-from idea to realization’’ aimed at the representatives of educational institutions in AP Vojvodina, this time in Kikinda Municipality. The training course was held at the premises of the boarding school “Nikola Vojvodić” in Kikinda, and the participants were comprised of 29 members of 14 institutions.
The first day of the training course, the participants obtained detailed information on the structure and areas of funding of the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport – Erasmus+, moreover, on the cross-border cooperation (CBC) programmes under which all institutions in Banat were eligible to submit applications, i.e. IPA Cross-Border Programme Hungary – Serbia and IPA Cross-Border Programme Romania – Serbia. The second day, the attendees could gain hands-on experience in designing the basic elements of a project using the logical framework approach, while the third day was aimed at project budgeting. As the result, five project ideas were identified, which according to their content were in line with the priorities and objectives of the strategic documents at the national and province level, as well as with the real needs of educational institutions. The majority of project ideas was aimed at enriching pupils’ school life, involving the employment of local resources. The topics covered by the attendees’ project ideas involved greener school environments and environmental protection in local communities, inclusion of children with developmental difficulties, protection of cultural heritage in the cross-border region, enrichment of sports contents for elementary school pupils, as well as cherishing of culture, traditions and multilingualism in the cross-border region.
The training courses were to include over 270 participants from 106 institutions involving nine municipalities in Vojvodina until the end of the Academic Year 2014/2015. The next training course was to take place in Vršac.
