Training course “EU Funding Opportunities”in the Provincial Government

The representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Jelena Tošković, Jelena Radosavljević Rovčanin, Sanja Čuturilov Veselinović and Jano Puškar held a three-day training course from 2-4, October 2019 in the Provincial Government, upon invitation from the Department of Human Resources Management of the Provincial Government. This time, attendees were the representatives of the Provincial Secretariats, the Departments of the Assembly of AP Vojvodina, Directorate of Commodity Reserves of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, the unemployed and persons from NGO sector.

At the very beginning, the attendees were informed about the EU Programmes and the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance with the accent on the INTERREG IPA CBC Programmes. The possibility that provincial institutions have, through cooperation with partner institutions from the region, by jointly writing project proposals and applying for available calls for proposals, has been explained in order to obtain grants from EU funds.

The aim of the training was how to write a project proposal, using a logical framework approach and a logical matrix, first through theory and then through hands-on experience, defining general and specific objectives, activities and results, as well as indicators, sources of verification and project risks. On the last day, the attendees got acquainted with the budgeting of the project, which they practically mastered through a number of examples. At the end of the training, 3 excellent project ideas were developed with which to apply to some of the INTERREG IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programmes available, and traditionally, participants were awarded certificates.
