The 1st Call for Proposals for the IPA Cross-border programme Serbia – Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia – Serbia is published

Within the framework of the cross-border cooperation (CBC) campaign, the Office for European Affairs is announcing the continuation of the support to potential applicants in the IPA Cross-border programme (CBP) Serbia – Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia – Serbia. The deadline for the submission of applications is 6th and 16th October 2009, respectively. The new CBPs are opening up new opportunities for the support to local and regional projects. As a reminder, the programmes aim at decreasing the difference in development rate among regions, promoting economic and social cooperation between local communities, as well as cooperation in culture and other areas. The CBPs refer primarily to local level and help the population on both sides of the border to solve common problems. Participation in the programmes leads to the establishment of long-term contacts and relations between people residing and working in the cross-border area, which is certainly a basis for further cooperation between the two regions.

The Office for European Affairs of the Executive Council of AP Vojvodina will continue promoting CBPs and providing assistance to local communities and other institutions and organisations in our country when applying for EU CBPs.

Within its CBC campaign, the Office for European Affairs has visited the greater part of the country and organised a large number of actions as a way of support. Because of new current programmes, the Office is going to organise once again the “Open Doors” which will be aimed at organisations in Srem, Bačka and western Serbia. We hope that the city of Novi Sad will also participate in this Call for Proposals.
