International conference “RES in urban areas”
The well-visited international scientific conference “Renewable energy sources in urban areas” within the framework of the ” EXploitation of Different Energy sources for GREen Energy production- X DEGREE” project has been held at the great hall of the Master Center of the Novi Sad Fair during the International Energy and Investment Fair.
The opening remarks were given by Nenad Grbić, Provincial Secretary for Energy, Construction and Transport, Vidosava Enderić, Director of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, prof. Stevan Stankovski PhD, Vice-rector of the University of Novi Sad and Filip Kulić PhD, full professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, who is also the project manager.
The conference was organized in two panels, “Both rural and urban” (on the concept of development of renewable energy sources), and “Renewable energy sources and sustainable development in urban areas”.
The XDEGREE project is co-financed by the European Union funds under the Interreg IPA CBC Croatia-Serbia 2014-2020. The total value is about EUR 1.7 million. The project partners are the University of Novi Sad, PUC “Vodokanal” Sombor, European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Vinkovci Water Supply and Sewerage Ltd and Agricultural Institute Osijek.
In addition to the participation of the partners, the international aspect of the conference was ensured by the participation and address of guests from the USA, Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
