Training course “EU Funding Opportunities“ held at the secondary school in Sečanj Municipality
The representatives of the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Čarna Zelјković and Jovana Kontić, held a three-day training course “EU Funding Opportunities“ at the “Vuk Karadžić” Secondary School in Sečanj from 29th to 31st March 2017. The objective of the course was to train the teaching staff for individual development and implementation of EU-funded projects.
During the training course, the participants obtained additional information on the prospects and manner of applying for grants offered by the EU programmes and funds to institutions from the Republic of Serbia, with focus on the ones which are available to educational institutions. The target groups of the training course were teachers from the territory of Sečanj Municipality, where the topic attracted great interest.
During the first day of the training course, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina talked about the available local, regional and EU programmes to finance projects, with focus on the cross-border cooperation programmes with Romania and Hungary and Erasmus+. The second day of the training was dedicated to the practical part of the training with focus on the preparation for EU project development, techniques and skills, tools and analysis used in the process. On the last day of the training, the participants gained detailed information about the budgeting of EU projects, as well as about the structure and steps for filling in the application form for some of the EU projects. After the training course, the participants were awarded a certificate on successful training completion.
The three-day training course resulted in the development of four project ideas, which could be submitted under the EU calls for proposals to be opened in the future.
