Training course “EU Funding Opportunities“ held in Srbobran Municipality

The representatives of the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Čarna Zeljković and Mina Radmilović Pjevac, held a three-day training course “EU Funding Opportunities” in the Great Hall of the Municipality of Srbobran, from 3rd to 5th May 2017. The objective of the course was to train the participants for individual development and implementation of EU-funded projects.

The Fund’s representatives tried to encourage the participants and provide them support for the development and improvement of skills necessary for project proposal development. The participants obtained additional information on the prospects and manner of applying for grants offered by the EU programmes and funds to institutions from the Republic of Serbia. The target group of the training course were the representatives of the local self-government.

During the first day of the training course, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina talked about the available local, regional and EU programmes to finance projects, with a focus on the cross-border cooperation programmes with Croatia and Hungary. The second day of the training was dedicated to the practical part of the training with a focus on the preparation for EU project development, techniques and skills, tools and analysis used in the process. On the last day of the training, the participants gained detailed information about the budgeting of EU projects, as well as about the structure and steps for filling in the application form for some of the EU projects. After the training course, the participants were awarded a certificate on successful training completion. As a result of three days of training received four project ideas that can be placed on some of the competition of the European Union which will be open in the future.
