Half of workshops of the seminar “Vegetable growing in gardens” held within the AGRINNO project

So far, 9 workshops with various topics on modern vegetable production have been held within the AGRINNO project, which the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina is implementing with the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops and Csongrád Megye Fejlesztéséért Nonprofit Kft, Hungary. Expert lectures on an innovative approach to vegetable production with interesting and current topics are held once a month in three agricultural schools in Ruma, Futog and Vršac, organized by the experts at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops of Novi Sad, as well as other partner institutions.

The lectures have been planned to be held from November 2018 to April 2019, which would include 6 workshops in each of the mentioned schools, i.e. a total of 18 workshops.
The topic of discussion involved the importance of the quality of the land for the production of vegetables, the role of crop rotation in vegetable production, the types of protected areas in the production of vegetables, preventive measures in the production of vegetables, irrigation of vegetables, composting, organic waste recycling, pepper production technology, and economically significant pepper and tomato diseases.

The workshops were well-visited and there were between 40-60 participants at each.

At the beginning of the spring, the greenhouses, which are financed by the project, are expected to be installed in agricultural schools, and thus the practical application of topics covered by the seminar.
