The study visit held within the “Cornucopia” project

Within the implementation of the “Cornucopia“ project, On 4 February 2020, the study visit of agricultural producers from Serbia to Asotthalom (Hungary) took place. On that occasion, agricultural producers from Hungary presented the results and experience from research related to the production and processing of batata (sweet potato). Also, training on growing batata was organised, so that agricultural producers had an opportunity to be informed about the growing of batata, about the advantages and disadvantages, and also batata growing opportunities.
The project “Competitive sustainability of agricultural enterprises through the development of new products with added value based on alternative plant species – CORNUCOPIA” which is implemented under IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary-Serbia aims to encourage joint research to improve the employment and development capacities of SMEs, as well as the agricultural and food industries in the cross-border area through the application of new technologies, the development of new products and the sustainable use of natural resources.
