Second meeting of the Sector group for culture was held

The European Affairs Fund of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina has initiated a meeting of representatives of cultural institutions within a series of sectoral meetings that will be organized in the coming period in order to coordinate strengthening of the capacity of all actors in culture in Vojvodina. The second meeting of the Sector group for culture was held in the premises of the Matica Srpska Gallery in Novi Sad.

Director of the European Affairs Fund Aleksandar Simurdić greeted all present and pointed out that defining joint projects and their implementation with the development of measures to support institutional capacity building and accelerated regional development present the goals of forming a Sectoral group for using available EU funds for culture. He also pointed out that the Fund is available to cultural institutions in the implementation of existing projects through technical, program and logistical support.

The representatives stated what problems they encounter during the implementation of projects and that they need help in the context of compiling a financial report after project activities, as well as greater information regarding legal regulations and EU legislation in the context of applications and project activities. They need the help of the Fund in order to approach the problem in a systematic way and achieve greater efficiency in the implementation of projects.

The meeting was also attended by Dimitrije Tadić, Head of the Creative Europe Desk Serbia, Nemanja Milenković, Director of the Foundation “Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture” and Sara Vuletić, Program Director of the Foundation “Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture”.
