The first meeting held in a new format – „Networking dinner”

During the previous period, the European Affairs Fund APV visited all local governments in Vojvodina with the aim of mapping the current situation and clustering the potential of cities and municipalities through 5 thematic units: economy with agriculture and food production, improvement of public health, education, science and innovation, ecology and green energy and culture. All these activities were carried out with the aim of networking the potential of cities and municipalities with adequate sources of funding such as grants, bilateral cooperation through programs of various donors and embassies, credit lines and technical support.

With the aim of developing partnerships, identifying opportunities for joint projects and promoting socio-economic development of local governments from the territory of AP Vojvodina through external sources of funding, the European Affairs Fund AP Vojvodina presented five cities and municipalities from Vojvodina to the international community in a new working dinner format. Sombor, Subotica, Kikinda, Zrenjanin and Apatin presented their potentials.

Together with the mayors of cities and the presidents of municipalities, the meeting was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps – ambassadors of Slovenia, Turkey, Romania, Croatia, Albania, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria, as well as officials of international institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

The gathering in this format was organized with the aim of presenting the potential and uniqueness of AP Vojvodina to the diplomatic corps and representatives of international financial institutions, in order to achieve long-term economic, scientific, educational and cultural cooperation with European cities, regions and institutions.

In the following period, the mentioned format will include all 45 units of local self-governments from the territory of AP Vojvodina.
