Fourth project team meeting
The fourth project team meeting of “Exploitation of Different Energy sources for GREen Energy production – X Degree“ project was held in Osijek yesterday, when the discussion involved the activities performed so far and steps planned the following period.
The project partners are the University of Novi Sad, University of Novi Sad, Public Utility Company “Vodokanal” Sombor (VS), European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Vinkovci Water Supply and Sewerage Ltd (VWSS), and Agricultural Institute Osijek. The project implementation started in July 2017. By the end of the project, a solar power plant driven by biogas produced from wastewater will have been constructed; the production capacity of biogas plant will have been increased, which will be used for UC’s own consumption and with perspective for using in public heating system and hot water distribution service which will directly lower the participation of classical energy sources in the consumption of public facilities; technical documentation for the construction of biogas and cogeneration plant in the VWSS and solar power plant in VS will have been produced, which will contribute to maximal energy efficiency and complete energy independence of partners. In addition, a mobile laboratory for fieldwork will have been built. The partners will jointly develop biogas plant recipes, optimize the work and maximize the biogas production and green energy.
At the project team meeting, the activities implemented so far were discussed. Public procurements for biogas generators have been carried out, a van has been procured, a construction site has been set up, the works on setting up a solar power plant and panels hav started; vehicles and mobile labs for field work, containers and laboratory equipment have been procured, and public procurement procedures for organization of events, media coverage, development and maintenance of website and social networks, translation, design and printing of promotional material, recording of promotional films and IT equipment have been carried out. In May, the project will be presented at the 85th International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad.
