1st project meeting within the project “Mos-Cross2” was held

Within the “Mos-Cross2” project, on July 9, 2021, the 1st meeting of the project team members was held . The meeting was attended by members of the project team, ie representatives of the Teaching Institute for Public Health of Osijek-Baranja County (leading partner in the project), representatives of the Institute of Public Health Sombor, Institute of Public Health of Požega-Slavonia County, European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, as well as representatives of the Institute of Public Health Novi Sad (project partners).
The goal of the project is to control and improve the mosquito control system in the cross-border area between Croatia and Serbia, which is why the project is extremely important, because with the arrival of new strains of mosquitoes, new diseases appear, which is something that health institutions must monitor and control in a timely manner. The total value of the project is 959,670.78 euros, of which the value of the donation is 815,720.14 euros.
During the meeting, various challenges the project partners are facing were discussed, but it was concluded that there are currently no problems in the implementation of the project itself. The partners had the opportunity to visit laboratories for PCR testing, for the analysis of isolated viruses, as well as rooms for feeding pathogens.
