A new representative office of the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia opens
On the occasion of opening the new business premises of the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Director of the Office “Casa Friuli Venezia Giulia”, Mrs. Ružica Jankahidac has talked to the Director of the Office for European Affairs, Predrag Novikov. “On the basis of the recent visit of the President of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Mr. Renzo Tondo and his meeting with the President of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Bojan Pajtić, PhD, an agreement has been made to strengthen the cooperation between our two regions. During the meeting, the priority areas were defined: cooperation in agriculture, design of new European projects, with special reference to infrastructure construction, agriculture and scientific and technological development. Based on the agreement, a greater number of economic representatives of that region are also participating at the Agriculture Fair. The Office for European Affairs, along with colleagues from other provincial authorities, will continue to be the engine of regional cooperation, as an instrument of economic development and new employment”, said Predrag Novikov. “I would like to thank the Office for European Affairs and other colleagues from the provincial administration on the partnership we have had so far. We have already realised a number of activities, yet we wish to go even further. The world economic crisis is another reason why our cooperation has to be more intensive, focusing on those areas which can lead to a new economic stimulus. Our wish is to be close to our partners in our future work and therefore we are opening a new office at the Master Centre of the Novi Sad Fair. Moreover, it is my pleasure to announce that the event will be opened by Claudio Violino, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Silvia Acerbi, Vice-president of the regional development agency Informest”, said Ružica Jankahidac.
