Open call for proposals for literary works

The Antenna of Creative Europe Culture Desk Serbia has been operating within the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina for four years. It promotes the Creative Europe programme – Culture subprogramme, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, which promotes the cross-border exchange of cultural works and the mobility of cultural stakeholders through the activities of cultural and creative organizations at the international level, as well as provides financial support for projects with a European dimension aimed at expanding the cultural content abroad.

This is the first time that the office of a European programme is part of a provincial institution, and using the opportunity we are informing about the latest news of this European programme.

This year’s call for support to literary translation projects is open in two categories until 23 May 2018.

The call provides an opportunity for publishers and publishing houses to translate literary works from one officially recognized European language to another. The aim is to support the cultural and linguistic diversity in Europe, promote transnational circulation of high-quality literature, and improve access to literary works so that they can reach a new audience.

The eligible costs include translation, production and promotion of European fiction, short novels, short stories, children fiction, comics / graphic novels, poetry and drama. The translation of books whose authors have won the European Union Literature Prize is especially welcome.
